About Jasmine

I'm a teacher. Over the years I've tried several times to breach a different path, but it always fails. I don't know how to NOT be a teacher. 

The truth is I'm in love with the feeling I experience when I get to tell a student for the first time about photosynthesis (plants can do what?!), or metamorphosis (butterflies come from where?!), or fossils (dinosaurs were alive when?!).

My hope is my stories help convey a little bit of that magic, not just the magic of our imaginations ~ but also to remind us of the tangible magic that exists all around us in our every day lives.

I am fortunate to live in Western Oregon, where I am surrounded by nature in all it's showiest splendor! I live here with my husband, three children, two cats, a leopard gecko, and a corn snake named Nagi.

In addition to my immediate family, I have been blessed by multitudes of children and their families over the last couple of decades, who supply me with an endless count of funny stories to tell and a heart overflowing with gratitude.
